Durusel Carpet

Our firm has toiled hard to introduce Turkish handmade carpets to the world. For over 20 years we have been selected to receive medals as the most successful carpet exporter from Turkey. We have organized rug fairs in Istanbul and in major cities of the world. We had the privilege of showing our carpets and kilims to discriminating buyers including the elite of almost every country. We have maintained inventories and sold successfully in Belgium, France, Germany, the UK, and the USA.

We were instrumental in revitalizing the weaving of traditional Ușak carpets and in exporting them to the US and Europe. Our firm has reinvented the silk rug to have 24x24 knots per sq cm (5,760,000 knots per square metre or approximately 3720 knots per sq. in.).

Our firm, founded in 1951, has pioneered www.carpetfair.net in 2007 to offer valuable carpets and kilims for sale through the internet. Unfortunately, we have not been able to stop manufacturers in China from producing cheap imitations of our silk rugs. (I hope that this opinion doesn't disturb rich Chinese people and change their mind to buy from us.)
